Best Time to Visit
November to mid-June, when the park is open; the cooler winter months are pleasant while the summer offers strong wildlife activity around the riverbeds before the monsoon closure.
Zones
The park is spread over several zones including Chilla, Motichur, Ranipur, and Jhilmil, with Chilla near Haridwar being the most popular and accessible for safaris.
How to Reach
The nearest airport is Dehradun (Jolly Grant) and the nearest railheads are Haridwar and Rishikesh, all within an hour or two of the main Chilla gate by road.
