Its dense sal forests, rolling hills, and the meandering Banas river create a wild, little-visited landscape that once formed a continuous tiger corridor with Bandhavgarh. Far from the crowds of the better-known reserves, Sanjay offers a raw wilderness experience with tigers, leopards, and large herds of gaur, appealing to travellers who want solitude and a sense of true exploration.
Best Time to Visit
November to June, with the dry summer months of April to June offering the best chances of tiger and gaur sightings around shrinking water sources.

Safaris operate from the Dubri and Bastua ranges of the Sanjay-Dubri Tiger Reserve, exploring quiet forest tracks with very limited tourist traffic.
How to Reach
The nearest airport is Jabalpur (about 220 km) and the nearest major railhead is at Sidhi or Rewa. The reserve is reached by road from Rewa or from Bandhavgarh, with which it is often combined.
